A fatal plane crash occurred on Thursday morning in Woodbury Township, resulting in two fatalities. The incident took place along the 800 block of Larke Road around 8:45 a.m. The Blair County Coroner's Office has confirmed the deaths, and authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. WJAC
The Williamsburg Community School District has announced that the first student day of the 2025-26 school year will be Thursday, August 21, 2025. On August 16, 2025, the annual "Party in the Park" event took place at Morrison's Cove Memorial Park in Martinsburg. Organized by Cove Cause 4 Cancer, the event featured live music performances throughout the day:

On August 9, 2025, the First Methodist Church of Williamsburg hosted the inaugural "Saturday Night Praise" at Veterans Memorial Field in Williamsburg. The event featured the Christian band Stars Burn Down from Shippensburg, PA. On September 13, 2025, two local bands from the Cove area are scheduled to perform at a festival at Tussey Mountain. The event will showcase bands from across the region, including Tussey Mountain, Somerset, Everett, Chestnut Ridge, Central, Tyrone, and Central.
